The Reserve Bank of India has amended its deposit interest rate directions to allow banks to offer differential interest rates on bulk deposits based on Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) run off rates. The central bank has also mandated daily disclosure of bulk deposit interest rates on banks' websites and reiterated that similar deposits should receive uniform interest rates across branches. The revised directions will come into effect from October 1, 2026.
