Nifty snapped its winning streak today, and the damage ran deeper than the index line suggests. India VIX closed at 10.9975, its lowest reading in eight sessions — the kind of number that usually accompanies a comfortable, broad rally. It didn't. Nifty 50 managed just 15 advances against 35 declines. FIIs sold 3809.99 crore in cash markets, their sharpest daily outflow in the five-day window, while DIIs countered with 4120.07 crore of buying. The index didn't crash, but underneath it, very little worked.
