Double Buying, Zero Bounce: All Sectors Red as VIX Creeps Higher

FIIs and DIIs both bought today, yet every sector closed in the red. Global headwinds overrode domestic flows, and VIX at 16.86 says the range is starting to strain.

All eleven sector indices closed in the red today — from Healthcare down 1.74% to Telecommunication down 2.68%. That happened despite FIIs buying 887.65 crore and DIIs buying 3,235.36 crore in the cash market. The Nifty 50 closed at 22,742 with breadth nearly even: 1,436 advances to 1,400 declines. The surface looks calm; underneath, VIX climbed to 16.86, its highest close across the last eight sessions.
