Recent breakouts

Stocks that closed above the top of a base in the last five trading sessions, grouped by the day it happened. For each one: the close on that day, how heavy the volume was, and where the price sits now against the level it broke through.

Breakouts by session

What the columns mean

Pivot
The top of the base: the price the stock had to close above for the base to count as broken out.
Breakout close
The closing price on the day it cleared the pivot. It is a record of that day, not today’s price.
Volume multiple
How much traded on the breakout day compared with a normal day. 3× means three times the usual amount.
Now vs pivot
Where the latest close sits against the pivot. A negative number means the stock has slipped back under the level it broke through.
RS (relative strength)
A rank from 1 to 99 of how this stock’s price has moved against every other stock we track. It describes the past only.
Screen
The named base shape the stock matched (VCP, high since 2020, multi-year, IPO base), or “matches no screen” when it fitted none of them.

What this list does not tell you

A breakout is a description of what price did, not a forecast of what it will do. Many breakouts fall back under the pivot within days, and nothing on this page attaches a chance of success to any of them — none has been measured, so none is shown.

Prices are end-of-day. A stock that crossed its pivot during today’s session appears here after the nightly scan, not the moment it happened. Price history starts in 2020, so any high mentioned is a high since 2020.

Base and breakout detection describes past price and volume. It is provided for research and education, is not investment advice, and no pattern or threshold predicts future returns.
