Connect Perplexity
Add DocStoX to Perplexity as a remote custom connector and sign in with your DocStoX account.
On this page
Perplexity supports custom connectors on its Pro, Max and Enterprise plans. DocStoX connects as a remote connector, and you sign in on docstox.com. You do not need an API key.
Open Connectors
In Perplexity, open Settings, then Connectors.
Add a custom connector
Choose Custom connector, then Remote. Name it DocStoX and paste the server URL below.
Remote MCP server URL https://mcp.docstox.com/mcpSign in
For authentication, choose OAuth. Perplexity opens a docstox.com page. Sign in with Google or your DocStoX email and password; if you have no account yet, a free one is created on that same page.
Approve the connection
DocStoX shows what the connection can do: look up stocks, fundamentals, screens and market data, and read your DocStoX portfolio and watchlists. It cannot trade, change your account, or see your password. Click Allow.
Ask a question
Ask in plain English, for example: "Compare TCS, Infosys and HCL Tech on revenue growth, margins and valuation." Perplexity picks the DocStoX tools it needs.
Every DocStoX tool reads data. None can place a trade, move money, or change your portfolio or watchlist.
If something goes wrong
See Troubleshooting MCP for a sign-in window that does not open, a revoked connection, or a quota message.
