Open Alerts to see what DocStoX is watching for you and to change it. The page has three tabs: Activity, Rules and Preferences.

Activity

Activity is the stream of what actually fired: alerts delivered to you, and ones DocStoX decided not to send. Both sit in the same list, grouped by day, so you can see not just what you were told but what DocStoX chose to leave out.

Rules

A rule is a standing subscription: "whenever a stock in this universe does X, tell me." Choose:

  • Scope: everything you are exposed to, one watchlist, one portfolio, or a single stock.
  • Condition: what you want to be told about.

Every new account starts with three rules already set: a sharp price move, upcoming results, and dividends, splits or bonuses, applied to everything you already own or follow. These three are on the free tier for both Free and Pro accounts.

Free accounts can use price moves, 52-week highs and lows, upcoming results, and dividends/splits/bonuses. The remaining conditions, including technical setups, insider activity and pledge changes, are Pro.

You can hold up to 100 rules.

Presets

Instead of choosing conditions one at a time, apply a preset:

  • Just the important stuff: big moves, results and dividends.
  • Keep me close: adds yearly highs and lows, and material news.
  • Everything: every condition DocStoX detects.

If a preset includes a Pro condition and you are on Free, you get the free members of that preset rather than an error.

Preferences

Preferences is where you set how rules are delivered:

  • Channel: in-app is available on Free. Email is Pro, for every condition.
  • Which condition groups (Price, Technicals, Setups, Events, Ownership, News, DocStoX research) you want, and their scope.

Price alerts on a single stock

From a stock page, you can also set a price alert directly: a target price and a direction, without going through the Rules tab. Creating and managing these price-target alerts is a Pro feature. You can hold up to 100 of them.
