Daily foreign and domestic institutional buying and selling, streaks, and the history for any date.

On this page

FII stands for Foreign Institutional Investor and DII for Domestic Institutional Investor. Every trading day, the exchanges publish how much each group bought and sold in the cash market. FII DII tracks this daily, alongside longer streaks and trends.

The FII/DII dashboard

The latest session's numbers open the page: gross buy and sell for FII and DII, the combined net flow, and a sentiment read (bullish, bearish or neutral) based on the last 5 days of combined net flow. Alongside it, a rail shows buying or selling streaks and recent flow velocity.

Signed in, the page also shows:

  • A cumulative net-flows chart across ranges from one month to the full history.
  • Sector-wise FPI (foreign portfolio investor) net flows.
  • Activity heatmaps for FII and DII flows.
  • F&O positioning by participant type, where available.
  • A full cash-flows table you can aggregate daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, filter and export.

A day's FII/DII page

Every settled trading day also gets its own page at /fii-dii/YYYY-MM-DD, so you can look up a specific date directly. It shows that day's numbers alongside the 5-day, 30-day and year-to-date context, and is public without needing to sign in.

When the day's numbers arrive

FII and DII cash-market flows are published by the exchange after the trading day settles. DocStoX aims to have the day's figures up by early evening IST, though on some days the numbers arrive with a short delay from the source and are backfilled once available.

Source

FII and DII cash-market flows are sourced from NSE, and from sector-wise FPI holding data from the depositories. DocStoX reports the flows as published; it does not interpret them as a signal to buy or sell.
