What is DocStoX

DocStoX is a research platform for Indian stocks. Here is what it covers, what you can do with it, and where to start.

DocStoX helps you research companies listed in India. It covers 5,700+ stocks on the NSE and BSE, with prices, ten years of financials, shareholding, institutional flows, filings and news in one place.

On top of that data sits DoXy, an AI analyst that answers your questions using DocStoX data rather than its own memory. You can ask it about a company, a sector or your own portfolio, and check the numbers it used.

What you can do with it

Research a company

Every listed company has a stock page with its price, chart, financial statements, ratios, shareholding and peers. Where the data supports it, the page also shows a fair value range. Pro adds an AI score with the numbers behind it.

When you want to go deeper, open Research and ask DoXy. For example: "What drove Infosys's margins over the last eight quarters?"

Find companies worth researching

The Screener filters the whole listed market by fundamentals and technicals. Start from a ready-made screen, build your own conditions, or describe what you want in plain English. Breakout setups and themes are two more ways to find names.

Follow the market

News is ranked and mapped to the stocks it affects. You can also follow FII and DII flows, bulk deals and insider trades, IPOs, results dates and the global markets board. The newsletter writes up the market twice a day. The archive is free, and Pro gets the newest edition in full.

Keep track of what you own

Add your holdings to Portfolio by hand or import them from your broker to see live profit and loss and allocation. Watchlists keep the names you are following. On Pro, tracking and alerts tell you when something you care about changes.

Use DocStoX from your AI assistant

If you already use Claude, ChatGPT or an AI coding tool, you can connect DocStoX over MCP. Your assistant then gets 93 read-only tools for Indian market data.

What DocStoX is not

  • It is not a broker. You cannot buy or sell shares on DocStoX. When you connect a broker, DocStoX only reads your holdings. It has no way to place, change or cancel an order.
  • It is not investment advice. DocStoX describes companies and markets. It does not tell you what to buy or sell. For advice, speak to a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
  • It is not a trading terminal. During market hours, quotes are delayed by about 15 minutes.

Free and Pro

You can use DocStoX for free. The Free plan includes stock pages, the full screener engine, news, flows, IPOs, your portfolio and 500 research credits a day for DoXy.

Pro costs ₹499 a month, or ₹4,990 a year. It raises your limits and adds the tools that keep working on your holdings while you are away, such as tracking, alerts, a daily brief built from your holdings, and portfolio health checks. Free and Pro lists every difference.
