Compare stocks and peers
Put companies side by side on the same ratios, and see how a company ranks against its sector peers.
On this page
DocStoX gives you two related ways to see one company against others: Compare, where you choose exactly who to put side by side, and Peers, where DocStoX picks the peer group for you.
Compare stocks
Open /compare and search for companies to add, up to four at a time. Popular pairs like TCS vs Infosys or HDFC Bank vs ICICI Bank, and a few pairs grouped by sector, are listed as a starting point.
A comparison covers valuation (P/E, P/B, dividend yield, EPS), profitability (ROE, ROCE, EBITDA margin, net margin), growth (3-year revenue and profit CAGR) and scale (market cap, revenue, net profit, debt to equity). Each metric marks which direction is better, so a lower P/E and a higher ROE both read as green where the comparison has a clear winner.
Every comparison has its own address, /compare/company-a-vs-company-b, so you can share it or bookmark it. Comparing "TCS vs Infosys" and "Infosys vs TCS" land on the same page: the URL is always sorted alphabetically. Selecting Add stock on that page lets you bring in a third or fourth company without starting over.
Peer comparison
/peers is where DocStoX assembles the comparison for you. Search a company (or browse by sector) to see it ranked against the companies it actually competes with on P/E, P/B, ROE, market cap and growth. This is the same table that appears in the Peers section of a stock page.
DocStoX chooses the peer group in this order:
- A curated set of competitors, where DocStoX holds one for that company.
- Otherwise, every actively traded company in the same industry.
- If that industry is too small to be meaningful, the same broader sector instead.
Each peer table states which of the three it used, so you know whether you are looking at hand-picked rivals or the wider industry.
