Troubleshooting

Fixes for common problems: a page not loading, sign-in trouble, missing data, payment issues.

If your problem is about a connected AI app (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and similar), see MCP troubleshooting instead.

The site looks stale, broken or unstyled

Most "the site is down" reports turn out to be a stale copy of the page held in your browser's cache, not an outage. Try, in order:

  1. A hard refresh: Ctrl Shift R on Windows, Cmd Shift R on a Mac.
  2. Open DocStoX in a private or incognito window.
  3. If it still looks wrong, contact support with the page URL and a screenshot.

I cannot sign in

  • Wrong password, or "Invalid credentials": use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. See Create an account and sign in.
  • "Account temporarily locked": this happens after several failed password attempts in a row, as a brute-force defence. Wait a while and try again, or reset your password instead of retrying.
  • A verification code never arrives: check spam first. If you already have a DocStoX account under that email, no code is sent (DocStoX never confirms whether an address is registered this way), and signing in with your password is the fix.
  • Google sign-in does not open or does nothing: this is usually a browser blocking the Google sign-in pop-up or its cookies. Allow pop-ups and third-party cookies for docstox.com, or try a different browser, then try again.

A phone verification code did not arrive

Requesting a code sends it by SMS, with WhatsApp as a fallback channel. Confirm the number is correct in international format (for example +91 98765 43210), wait for the resend timer, and try again before assuming it failed to send.

A number on DocStoX looks wrong

DocStoX pulls most of its data automatically from exchanges and filings, and errors happen occasionally, upstream or on DocStoX's side. Report it from the Corrections page or by emailing [email protected] (opens in a new tab), with the page URL or stock symbol, the figure you believe is wrong, and, if you have it, the correct value and its source.

Data pages carry an "as of" or last-updated timestamp where relevant, so you can see how current a figure is before assuming it is wrong.

Payment failed, or my plan did not update

  • If a renewal payment fails, Pro keeps working for 7 days while you fix your payment method from Billing. If it is not resolved in that time, your account moves to Free and your data is kept.
  • If you paid but your plan still shows Free, wait a minute and refresh, since the update can lag the payment by a few seconds. If it still has not updated, contact support with your account email and, if you have it, the payment reference from your bank or Razorpay.

See Cancellation, money-back and refunds for cancelling, and the annual money-back guarantee.
