Investment committee

A structured bull and bear review of your portfolio, written by DoXy from your own holdings.

On this page

The Investment Committee reads your portfolio and produces a structured debate on it: five analyst personas each take a position, then a chair reads all five and reaches a final call for every holding you own.

Open it from Portfolio, under Pro Research in the left-hand navigation, as Investment Committee.

How it works

Five personas review your whole book, each through one lens:

  • Macro: the broader economic and market backdrop.
  • Fundamental: the business itself, its numbers and its quality.
  • Valuation: whether the price looks stretched or reasonable against those numbers.
  • Risk: what could go wrong, and how exposed this position leaves you.
  • Quant: what the price and technical data show.

Each persona reviews every holding in your book and casts one verdict per stock: Add, Hold, Trim or Exit, with a conviction level and one grounded reason. A chair then reads all five opinions and writes the final decision for each stock, plus an overall read on the portfolio.

The committee runs automatically overnight on active accounts. Opening the page for the first time in a day can trigger a fresh run if nothing has been computed yet; after that, the same day's committee is reused until it refreshes again.

Reading a decision

For each holding you can see:

  • the final action (Add, Hold, Trim or Exit) and, where relevant, a suggested size for the change;
  • unanimity: whether all five personas agreed (unanimous), most agreed (majority), the personas were split, or the chair went against the group's view (override);
  • the reasoning behind the call, tied to numbers from your own holding.

A stock the committee has not reviewed yet is shown as not reviewed, never silently folded into a Hold.

Track record

The committee's own calls are graded after the fact, once enough time has passed to judge them. The Track record section shows how many calls have been graded, split by action type, and states plainly when there are not yet enough graded calls to say anything. A call that has not had time to play out yet is shown as pending, never counted as wrong.

What you can tell it

On the committee page you can record how you actually feel about a holding you own, for example whether you intend to add, hold or exit it regardless of the committee's call. The committee reads this back and can note the disagreement rather than assuming you agree with it.

What this is not

The committee describes cases for and against each of your holdings. It does not decide what you should do with them, and DocStoX does not place or suggest orders on your behalf.
