F&O and derivatives
Option chains, open interest, PCR and max pain for index and stock derivatives, and the state of the F&O terminal.
DocStoX holds derivatives data for NSE index and stock options and futures: option chains, open interest, put-call ratio, max pain, implied volatility, gamma exposure and India VIX. There is no dedicated F&O app page for this yet. Today you reach it through DoXy or an MCP-connected AI assistant.
What you can ask for
Ask DoXy, or an assistant connected over MCP, about an index or a stock that trades derivatives, for example:
- "What is NIFTY's max pain and put-call ratio right now?"
- "Show me BANKNIFTY's option chain around the money."
- "Is NIFTY's gamma exposure positive or negative today, and what does that mean?"
- "What is India VIX doing this week?"
Each of these questions is answered by a dedicated tool. The Derivatives tools reference lists all of them with their parameters:
- Option chain: strikes around the money with last price, open interest, change in open interest, implied volatility and delta, for calls and puts.
- Options analytics: a one-shot snapshot with spot price, max pain, PCR (by open interest and by volume), at-the-money implied volatility, net gamma exposure and the biggest call and put open-interest strikes (read as resistance and support).
- Max pain: the daily history of where option writers are anchored, and whether the spot price is drifting toward or away from it.
- OI buildup: which strikes show long buildup, short buildup, short covering or long unwinding.
- PCR trend: the put-call ratio's daily history, with a rising, falling or steady read.
- Gamma exposure (GEX): net GEX and the gamma-flip level. Positive GEX means dealers are net long gamma, which tends to pin the market; negative GEX means moves tend to get amplified.
- FII derivative positioning: how foreign institutional investors are positioned in index derivatives.
- India VIX.
Index options are covered for NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY, NIFTYNXT50 and SENSEX. Stock options are covered for individual NSE symbols that trade F&O.
The F&O Terminal, coming soon
/fno-terminal previews a dedicated derivatives desk DocStoX is building: an option chain, open interest analysis, a gamma exposure map, a volatility surface and strategy tools in one screen. The page carries a waitlist for an email the day it goes live. What is shown there today is illustrative and does not reflect real market data.
