Arena

Arena gives you ₹10,00,000 of virtual cash to trade with, at real market prices, and builds a public, ranked track record from your trades. It is a game for practising and comparing decisions, not a real brokerage account.

Joining Arena#

You need a claimed public @username to join. Once you have one, joining creates your Arena account with ₹10,00,000 of virtual cash, seeded once. This account is permanent: it is not reset each season or each month.

Placing a trade#

Arena trades execute as a market order at a live price resolved by DocStoX at the moment of the trade, the same price your account would see anywhere else on the site, never a price you set yourself. You can only place a trade while the market is open (9:15 AM to 3:30 PM IST on a trading day), so every fill reflects a genuinely live price rather than a stale close.

• Buying is limited only by your virtual cash: you can buy any quantity your balance covers.
• Selling is limited to what you currently hold.

Your holdings are valued using the same live price feed as the rest of DocStoX, so your net asset value (cash plus the market value of your positions) moves with the real market throughout the day.

Resetting your account#

You can reset your Arena account back to ₹10,00,000 in virtual cash, wiping your existing trades and holdings. A reset is allowed once per day. Your starting cash for return calculations does not change on a reset, so resetting cannot be used to inflate your percentage return.

The leaderboard#

Leaderboard ranks every player who has made their profile public, by three timeframes:

• Overall: total return since you started, as a percentage.
• Today: today's return.
• NAV: net asset value, cash plus holdings, in rupees.

Only accounts with a public profile and a claimed username appear.

Your public profile#

Each player has a public page at their handle, showing their current holdings, recent activity and career stats. You can follow other players and see an activity feed of trades, either globally or for the people you follow.

Source#

Trade prices are DocStoX's own live and end-of-day market data. Net asset value and leaderboard rankings are computed from your recorded virtual trades against that same data.
